Nextfense Privacy and Data Collection Policies

Nextfense considers the privacy of its users to be a matter of great importance. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy. This document covers Nextfense's treatment of the personally identifiable information that we collect when you browse our web pages or when you use our products and services. This does not include the practices of companies that Nextfense does not own or control, or of people that Nextfense does not directly employ or hire.

Information Collection and Use
- We collect personally identifiable information when you register for an account with Nextfense, or when you participate in promotions, contests or sweepstakes organized by Nextfense.
- When you register for an account, we ask for your name, email address, company or organization for which you work, and the country in which you reside.
- Nextfense also automatically receives and records on its servers information from your browser, such as your IP address, cookie information and the page you requested.
- Nextfense uses the information collected for two general purposes: to meet your requirements for specific products or services, and to contact you about them if necessary.
Access to information by third parties
Nextfense will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. However, Nextfense may send your personally identifiable information to other companies or organizations only in the following cases:
- If we have your consent to share information.
- If we need to share your information to provide the product or service you request.
- If we need to send the information to companies or organizations that work on behalf of Nextfense to provide the product or service you request. (Unless explicitly indicated, these companies or organizations do not have the right to use the information we provide to them, except as strictly necessary to fulfill the requested assistance.)
- If we respond to court orders or subpoenas derived from legal processes.
IP Addresses
When your browser requests a web page from another computer on the Internet, it automatically provides that computer with the address to which that information should be sent. This is what is called an IP address, where IP stands for Internet Protocol.
For most users who access the Internet from a dial-up account of an Internet service provider (ISP), the IP address will be different each time you connect.
Collection of IP addresses and their use
Nextfense receives IP addresses from all its users because this information is automatically reported by your browser each time you request a web page.
Your IP address may also be stored in our user records when you create your account.
IP addresses can be used for a variety of purposes, including:
- Diagnosis of technical or service problems reported by our users or by administrators associated with IP addresses controlled by a particular ISP.
- Select advertising to be included on our pages based on the geographical area or other information derived from your IP address.
- Most IP addresses are commonly associated with ISPs, universities, or large corporations in specific localities or regions.
- Estimate the total number of Nextfense visitors from specific countries or regions.
Cookies
A cookie (plural: cookie) is a small amount of data, which usually includes an anonymous unique identifier, and that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer.
Each website can send its own cookies to your browser if it allows it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only allows a website to read cookies that it has sent itself, and not cookies that have been sent to it from other sites.
Choices about cookies
- You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies or ask you what to do in each case. (Each browser is different; check your browser's help section for information on how to modify your settings.)
- If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to access Nextfense websites, products and services that require you to enter your username and password (login). However, other websites, products and services on Nextfense may not require your browser to accept cookies.
Nextfense's Cookie Practices
Nextfense uses its own cookies for different purposes, including:
- Access your information when you log in to the system, so that we can provide you with personalized content.
- Keep track of the preferences you specify while using the Nextfense services.
- Estimate and report the size and traffic of our user base.
- Conduct research aimed at improving our content and services.
- Ask you to re-enter your password after it has passed.
Possibility to modify or delete the content of your information and preferences
Nextfense gives you the ability to change your information or preferences at any time.
You can request the deletion of your account by sending a message to info@nextfense.com.
Security
Your Nextfense account information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
In some areas, Nextfense can use the industry standard SSL-Encryption to protect data transmissions.
